Hardcastle Crags, Gibson Mill, Midgehole Rd, Hebden Bridge HX7 7AW, OS Grid Reference SD 9728 3019

There are 15 miles of footpaths and this makes Hardcastle Crags a great place to explore on foot.  The walks vary from family friendly to more difficult routes, for those that like more of a challenge. A good tip for visiting The Crags is to get there early, it is a very popular place for visitors. Once parked there are two routes to the mill, one is a flat road through the woods, but I would highly recommend to turn left when you come out of the car park and head down to the river. This route is very picturesque and takes you along the river towards The Mill, passing different places of interest, such as stepping stones and ancient forests, Once you get to The Mill, a wonderful building in itself, there is a café and a museum. An ideal place for a rest and refreshments before continuing to The Crags, which are about a further 15 minute walk. Most people think that The Mill is the end/goal of the walk but it is not, the true goal is The Crags. Very accessible for the disabled as you can take the first route on the road all the way to The Crags.
