A 1300 foot (400m) hill with the monument Stoodley Pike on its summit. The monument is 121 feet (37m) tall with 39 steps and was designed in 1854 by local architect John Green, and completed in 1856 at the end of the Crimean War. The Pike can only be reached by foot using right of way footpaths. There are many walking routes to the Pike from Todmorden, Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd.
