Top Withen - 3 miles west of Haworth, OS Grid Ref SD981353

A ruined farmhouse associated with Emily Bronte's renowned novel "Wuthering Heights", believed to be the inspiration for the Earnshaws family house. The setting, situated on the Pennine way, is truly inspirational.
From Haworth there is one route over Penistone, signposted even in Japanese. The easiest root is to park in Stanbury where the bus turns around, it is only one mile from here on a path (The Pennine Way), but taking this route means missing The Bronte` waterfall, unless you make a detour.
A very suitable and lovey pub to take refreshments in is "Wuthering Heights", they also provide accommodation.
